History

Our General Manager, Steve Cole, has been involved in designing and building Jackstone Plate Freezers his entire life, and now plays a key role in the drive and momentum of taking Freezertech to the forefront of the plate freezer market. As well as this Steve’s knowledge and experience allows us to be the worlds foremost experts on compatible spares and service for all Jackstone plate freezers

1978

Steve joined Torbinia as an apprentice aluminium welder

1980

Transferred to Jackstone Froster Grimsby

1982

Jackstone Froster is taken over by Frigoscandia, continues position as a freezer plate welder

1986

Taken over by APV Baker Ltd, continues in aluminium welding

1993

APV Jackstone transferred to J&E Hall Dartford, Steve is transferred from Grimsby to teach aluminium plate welding

1998

Promoted to workshop foreman, in charge of all plate freezer and vessel production

2000

Management buyout of J&E Hall Plate Freezer division, becomes Jackstone Froster Ltd again, Steve is transferred to new company as a Manager

2002

Left Jackstone Froster, continues to be a major sub contractor for Jackstone Froster Dartford, supplying headers, frames and freezer plate welding services

2007

Jackstone Froster goes into liquidation

2008

Martyn Archer retires, leaving Steve Cole the most experienced Jackstone specialist worldwide.  Freezertech is formed from ex Jackstone employee’s to continue building the same high quality plate freezers that they always have, using the past 30 years of records, knowledge and experience

2010

Freezertech acquire a 6,000sqft new building after a hugely successful year in 2009 and an ever expanding market presence.  New factory enables Freezertech to deal with higher quantity orders and retain all manufacturing in house to keep costs down.
